Business Remedies | Shruti Kothari | Prioritizing the safety of women, the Rajasthan Police has initiated a significant campaign titled “Sashakt Nari, Zimmedari Hamari” (Empowered Woman, Our Responsibility) by organizing a Women’s Safety Awareness Week. Shakti Foundation is actively involved as a key partner in this initiative, playing a leading role in raising awareness among women about their rights, legal assistance, and safety measures. As part of the week-long campaign, street plays are being performed by students of Rajasthan University in the Harmada area of Jaipur. Through these performances, important messages related to women’s safety, self-defence, and social consciousness are being conveyed to the general public, aiming to bring about a positive change in society.


Senior officers, including ACP Laxmi Suthar and DCP West Aarti Kanwar also present highlighted the Rajasthan Police’s commitment to this initiative and its leadership role in strengthening women’s safety. Director General of Police, Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma, stated on the occasion, “Women’s safety is not just a week-long campaign but a lifelong commitment. All sections of society must work together to ensure the respect and safety of women.” Jaipur Police Commissioner, Shri Biju George Joseph, said that this initiative is not limited to legal action but also seeks to bring about a change in social perspective.
It is noteworthy that initiatives like ‘Kalika Patrolling’, ‘Anti-Romeo Squad’, and ‘Nirbhaya Squad’ are already being effectively implemented under this campaign, and their positive results are visible in society. This campaign is a crucial step toward creating a safe and respectful environment for women in the state.
