Business remedies | Shruti Kothari |  The city of Jaipur is buzzing with excitement as it hosts a two-day celebration for National Space Day, a tribute to India’s monumental strides in space exploration. Kicking off yesterday at the Innovation Hub, the event is a testament to the nation’s journey from ancient astronomical wisdom to the infinite possibilities of modern space travel, a theme perfectly captured in its title: “Aryabhata to Gaganyaan.”

The atmosphere was electric as Deputy Director Kailash Mishra welcomed a crowd of 250 students and teachers, setting the stage for a program designed to ignite young minds. The Chief Guest, Priyanka Yadav, Chief Accounts Officer of the Department of Science and Technology, added to the inspiration, applauding India’s space missions and urging the youth to embark on their own careers in research and innovation.

The first day was packed with activities that sent a clear message: India’s future is in the stars. A highlight was a captivating seminar on “India’s Successes on the Moon,” led by ISRO Space Tutor Paras Sharma. He enthralled the audience with tales of India’s lunar missions and provided fascinating details about Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s journey on the Gaganyaan mission.

But the learning wasn’t confined to lectures. A lively quiz competition put students’ knowledge to the test, and a stunning “Moon Achievement Clock” was unveiled, a special tribute to the nation’s historical progress in lunar exploration. The Innovation Hub also hosted a popular exhibition honouring the contributions of celebrated Indian scientists, drawing a crowd of approximately 1,500 visitors who appreciated the showcase of ingenuity and dedication.

The celebration was more than just an event; it was a powerful motivator, inspiring students to dream big and consider a future in space science.

The excitement continues today, with an agenda that promises more wonders:

  • An engaging session on the Aditya L-1 Model and Solar Observation.
  • A thrilling Rocket Launching demonstration.

The two-day celebration will conclude with a ceremony to distribute certificates and prizes to the winners, recognizing the talent that will help propel India’s space program even further.
