Major tech firms जैसे Zoho, Apple, NVIDIA, SAP, PayPal में भारतीय कर्मचारियों का 34% tier-3 कॉलेजों से आया है, Blind के सर्वे में सामने आया। Survey में 1,602 Indian professionals शामिल थे।

• Tier-wise distribution:

  • Tier 1: 41% (IITs, IISc, top IIMs, BITS Pilani)

  • Tier 2: 30%

  • Tier 3: 25%

  • Overseas: 4%

• Skills-based hiring अब trend: College name का असर top tech firms में कम, जबकि financial firms जैसे Goldman Sachs, Visa, Oracle, Google में campus recruitment का प्रभाव ज़्यादा।

• Salary & career impact:

  • Tier-3 graduates: 15% reported significant salary benefits; 74% said helpful only early on or not at all

  • Overseas grads: 53% said college had little/no effect on earnings

• Traditional financial & tech firms still rely on college pedigree; tech sector increasingly values skills & practical experience।

Survey highlights shift from degree prestige to capability-driven hiring, enabling tier-3 talent to thrive in global tech companies.
