New Delhi, Dec 8: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) ने interconnection regulations की review से जुड़े consultation paper पर stakeholders के लिए comment submit करने की deadline extend कर दी है। Ministry of Communications के अनुसार अब industry players और other stakeholders को अपना feedback देने के लिए extra time मिलेगा।
🗓 New Timeline for Submissions
TRAI ने November 10 को consultation paper जारी किया था और earlier comments की last date December 8 तथा counter-comments के लिए December 22 तय थी। अब authority ने decision लिया है कि written comments की नई deadline December 15 और counter-comments की last date December 29 होगी।
🏢 Industry Requests के बाद फैसला
Regulator ने बताया कि कई industry associations और stakeholders ने more time की मांग की थी ताकि issues को properly study किया जा सके और detailed responses तैयार किए जा सकें। इन requests को ध्यान में रखते हुए TRAI ने deadlines extend करने का फैसला लिया।

Ministry ने कहा, “Industry bodies और stakeholders से मिले requests को देखते हुए comment और counter-comment submit करने की dates को आगे बढ़ाया गया है और अब नई deadline December 15 और December 29 कर दी गई है।”
💻 How to Send Feedback
Stakeholders अपने inputs electronic form में Sameer Gupta, Advisor (Networks, Spectrum and Licensing-I) को भेज सकते हैं। Consultation का उद्देश्य interconnection rules को latest telecom technologies और changing market requirements के अनुसार update करना है।
🚫 Action Against Spam & Fraud
इसी बीच TRAI ने बताया कि पिछले एक साल में spam और fraud के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई की गई है। Authority ने over 21 lakh mobile numbers disconnect किए हैं और nearly one lakh entities blacklist की गई हैं।
📱 TRAI की नागरिकों से अपील
TRAI ने लोगों से अपील की है कि spam और fraud की complaints TRAI DND App के जरिए register करें ताकि telecom services के misuse को source पर ही रोका जा सके।
⚠️ Blocking Alone Is Not Enough
Regulator ने यह भी clear किया कि सिर्फ unwanted calls या numbers को block करना sufficient नहीं है। Complaints register करना जरूरी है ताकि systemic action लिया जा सके।
