Jaipur | Rajshree Upadhyaya | With a vision to eliminate the need for multiple cards and payment systems by offering a single solution for shopping and everyday transactions, Harshvardhan Javeri, Aman Bisht and Shikha Chauksey founded the startup Orbit Wallet in 2023 and established their place in the market. In a country where digital payments have become a part of daily life, the challenge is no longer encouraging people to make digital payments, but simplifying payments across different use cases. The startup was launched from Bengaluru. The founders identified that urban consumers often rely on different payment methods for metros, buses, retail purchases and online transactions.

To address this gap, they introduced Orbit Wallet, an NCMC-enabled digital wallet that comes with a RuPay-powered prepaid card. It enables users to make payments across transit networks and retail outlets through a single platform. The company’s flagship Orbit Card was designed to support tap-and-pay transactions for metros, buses, fuel stations, retail stores and online shopping, creating a seamless payment experience for users. Building a fintech startup in a highly competitive payments ecosystem was never easy. Instead of directly competing with traditional digital wallets, the founders focused on solving real-world mobility challenges. Their approach was centered on combining transportation and commerce into one payment ecosystem, allowing consumers to use a single card for multiple purposes. This focus on interoperability and convenience helped Orbit Wallet carve out a unique position in the growing fintech and mobility sectors.

Recognition came after appearing on Shark Tank India Season 5
The startup gained national-level recognition when it appeared on Shark Tank India Season 5. The founders sought Rs. 50 lakh in exchange for 1 percent equity, valuing the company at Rs. 50 crore. During the pitch, they highlighted the scale of India’s public transportation market and explained how their product could simplify millions of daily transactions. Although the sharks raised tough questions about the valuation, the founders remained confident in their long-term vision and the potential of integrated mobility payments. Their determination paid off.

After negotiations, Aman Gupta offered Rs. 60 lakh for 4 percent equity, valuing the company at Rs. 15 crore. The founders accepted the offer, giving them not only capital but also the support of an investor known for backing consumer-focused technology businesses. The deal proved to be a major milestone in Orbit Wallet’s journey and helped bring the brand to audiences across the country.

The company focuses on making everyday transactions easier
By the time it appeared on Shark Tank, Orbit Wallet had already demonstrated strong traction. The company reported approximately 55,000 users and around 9,000 weekly active users, reflecting growing interest in its unified payments model. The startup also had thousands of physical cards in circulation, indicating that consumers were ready to adopt an alternative to fragmented payment systems. As of 2026, Orbit Wallet continues to operate and pursue its mission of simplifying urban mobility payments. The company actively promotes its Orbit Card, digital wallet platform and mobility payment solutions, positioning itself as a fintech brand focused on making everyday transactions easier. From a startup launched in 2023 to a Shark Tank success story recognized across the country, Orbit Wallet’s journey demonstrates how solving a simple yet significant problem can create opportunities in one of India’s fastest-growing sectors.
