Rajshree Upadhyaya | Business Remedies | F2DF Kisaan Ki Online Dukaan was created from lived reality rather than boardroom theory when Ishwar Sinhmar Rahul Dhingra Neeraj Sinhmar and Monika Sinhmar came together in 2020 in Rohtak, Haryana, to address problems they had seen across generations of Indian farming families The founders grew up close to agriculture and understood how hard work rarely translated into fair income because of fragmented supply chains price opacity and dependency on intermediaries, which shaped their belief that farmers needed direct market access and digital ownership.
Instead of rushing to build a product, the team spent extensive time on the ground engaging with farmers across multiple districts, listening to challenges related to pricing delayed payments lack of buyers and rising input costs. These insights defined the purpose of F2DF as a farmer-first ecosystem rather than a simple trading platform By early 2021 this vision took digital form with the launch of F2DF Kisaan Ki Online Dukaan, built to increase net household income and restore control to farmers.
At the heart of the platform is a digital marketplace that allows farmers to sell agricultural produce directly to manufacturers, corporates exporters and horeca buyers eliminating multiple layers of middlemen. This shift enabled transparent pricing faster transactions and improved bargaining power for producers, while buyers benefited from consistent supply and traceable sourcing. The model resonated strongly with small and marginal farmers who previously had limited access beyond local mandis.
As adoption grew, the founders expanded the ecosystem to focus on long-term farmer sustainability. F2DF introduced training programs, expert consultations, and government scheme guidance to help farmers improve productivity, reduce wastage, and make informed business decisions. The emphasis on education and awareness helped build trust and positioned the platform as a partner in farmer growth rather than just a sales channel.
The company further strengthened its offering by enabling farmers to buy, sell, and rent agricultural equipment and input products through the platform, often without commission fees. This reduced dependency on local agents and allowed better capital management, especially for farmers who could not afford full equipment ownership. F2DF also helped farmers create personalised digital storefronts, giving them an online identity and access to buyers beyond their immediate geography.
This integrated approach helped F2DF scale rapidly, training tens of thousands of farmers, building hundreds of farmer websites, and facilitating bulk selling opportunities that improved collective bargaining power. The platform evolved into a digital backbone where farmers could manage sales resources and knowledge within one ecosystem.
The impact of this vision reached a national audience when F2DF appeared on Shark Tank India Season Four. The founders pitched their model seeking growth capital to expand operations and deepen farmer penetration. While concerns around scalability were raised, the mission-driven clarity of the business stood out Aman Gupta invested fifty lakh rupees for two percent equity along with structured debt support bringing strategic mentorship and financial strength to the company.
Post Shark Tank, F2DF continued expanding its farmer network, strengthening platform adoption, and refining its service stack across states. The company remained focused on income enhancement, market access, and reducing inefficiencies that traditionally disadvantaged rural producers
As of today, F2DF Kisaan Ki Online Dukaan is operational and actively serving farmers across Indi,a continuing its mission to build a transparent technology-driven agricultural marketplace that places farmers at the centre of value creation.
