The Jagriti Yatra, organized by Jagriti Seva Sansthan, reached Choti Kashi, Jaipur on Thursday, where participants observed social entrepreneurship at Jaipur Rugs, one of the country’s leading carpet manufacturing and management establishments. Participants interacted with the founder of the institution, N.K. Chaudhary.
🏭 Founder’s Unique Approach
This model has transformed the economy of several villages, reduced migration, and empowered women to become self-reliant while bringing happiness into their lives. Jaipur Rugs has become a center for international study, with students and faculty from top global universities examining the model and applying its learnings in their own communities. 🌏
👩🎓 Learning and Impact
This year, Jagriti Yatra includes 525 participants. The journey began on 7th November from Mumbai, followed by stops in Indore, Korba, Murude, Shri City, Vishwanath, Baharampur, Nalanda, Devdhara, and Delhi, reaching Jaipur on Thursday. The next stop is Ahmedabad, and the journey will conclude back in Mumbai.
So far, more than 9,000 participants have benefited from this Yatra, mostly youth, learning how enterprise-driven development works in real communities.
🤝 Networking and Mentorship
During the Yatra, participants meet mentors, investors, and gain real work opportunities. The goal is to step outside metro cities and observe innovative work in secondary and third-tier towns.
The Yatra generally costs around ₹10 lakh, and participants are selected based on motivation, thinking, and application. Financial support is provided to those unable to cover the full cost. 💡
🏡 Village Visit and Cultural Experience
On Thursday, participants visited Manpura Mandvi village to observe Jaipur Rugs carpet-making process. They were welcomed by village leaders, and cultural programs were organized to showcase local traditions. Participants also experienced the rich culture of Rajasthan’s villages and enjoyed the visit. 🎨
