Business Remedies | Jaipur | Skoda Auto has officially introduced the second-generation Kodiaq SUV in the Indian market today, with a starting price of Rs. 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium three-row SUV, now more refined and feature-packed, arrives in two trims – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K) – and takes on rivals like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian.
The 2025 Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 188 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, the SUV comes equipped with all-wheel drive as standard. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB EVO platform, the new Kodiaq promises better ride dynamics and interior comfort.
Bigger, smarter, safer
At 4,858 mm in length, the new Kodiaq is 61 mm longer than its predecessor. Though the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,971 mm, interior space has been optimised. Boot space stands at 340 litres with all seats up, expanding to over 2,100 litres with the second and third rows folded.
Inside, the cabin boasts a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and a premium 13-speaker Canton sound system. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated seats, ambient lighting, and three-zone climate control. Practical Skoda touches such as umbrella holders and door-mounted bins return.
Variants & highlights
The Sportline trim offers nine airbags, ESC, hill descent control, cruise control, and parking assist. The more premium L&K trim adds a cognac interior theme, 360-degree camera, driver drowsiness alert, proactive passenger protection, and Intelli-park assist. A backlit grille and flexible cargo management system further distinguish it.
