Business Remedies / New Delhi (IANS)। वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री Piyush Goyal ने Liechtenstein की कंपनियों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ एक roundtable discussion की और कहा कि India में European Free Trade Association (EFTA) के सदस्य देशों द्वारा 100 billion dollars के निवेश की प्रतिबद्धता के तहत पैदा हुए अवसरों का लाभ उठाया जाए।
Piyush Goyal ने एक X post में कहा, “India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) केवल एक trade agreement नहीं है, बल्कि यह investment, technology partnership, skill development और मजबूत value chains को बढ़ाने का एक framework है।”
केंद्रीय मंत्री ने कहा कि अवसर precision engineering, clean energy, smart infrastructure, advanced materials, digital और financial services जैसे विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में फैले हुए हैं। उन्होंने Liechtenstein के business समुदाय से कहा कि India को एक long-term base के रूप में देखें और EFTA countries की ओर से 100 billion dollars की investment commitment के तहत आने वाले अवसरों का लाभ उठाएं।
समझौते के तहत, European Union ने 15 years की अवधि में 100 billion dollars के investment की प्रतिबद्धता जताई है, जिससे India में 10 lakh direct jobs सृजित होंगे।
एक अन्य post में Piyush Goyal ने Liechtenstein स्थित Hilti Group के headquarters के दौरे और उसके CEO Jahangir Doongaji से मुलाकात की जानकारी दी। पोस्ट में उन्होंने कहा, “India के construction sector में group की 25 years से अधिक की उपस्थिति को देखते हुए, चर्चा का मुख्य विषय localization को बढ़ावा देना, value addition बढ़ाना और India से global shipments को बढ़ाना था, जो हमारे manufacturing और export growth goals के अनुरूप है।”
मंत्री ने investment expansion, faster innovation और मजबूत domestic capacity building द्वारा समर्थित safe और smart infrastructure के लिए technology collaboration पर भी चर्चा की। इससे पहले Piyush Goyal ने Liechtenstein की Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sabine Monauni के साथ trade, innovation और clean technology cooperation बढ़ाने पर बातचीत की थी।
India–European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) आधिकारिक रूप से October 2025 में लागू हुआ, जिसमें Switzerland, Norway, Iceland और Liechtenstein शामिल हैं।
Brussels में Piyush Goyal की दो दिवसीय trade talks का उद्देश्य India–European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA) को अंतिम रूप देने की दिशा में निर्णायक कदम उठाना था।
एक official statement में कहा गया है कि Indian delegation का लक्ष्य textiles, leather, apparel, gems and jewellery और handicrafts जैसे labour-intensive sectors के लिए zero-duty access सुनिश्चित करना था।
