India का service sector December में भी strong performance बनाए रखता दिखा। HSBC India Services PMI Business Activity Index November के 59.8 से घटकर December में 58 पर आ गया, 2025 की शुरुआत में जारी report ने यह जानकारी दी। Index neutral level से काफी ऊपर बना रहा, जिससे economic expansion जारी रहना स्पष्ट होता है। 50 से ऊपर का reading growth को दर्शाता है और December का figure long-run average 55 से भी ऊपर रहा। S&P Global द्वारा compiled report में कहा गया कि incoming new work और output की expansion rate पिछले 11 months की तुलना में कुछ कम रही, क्योंकि firms ने hiring को लेकर सतर्क रुख अपनाया। इसके बावजूद, new work और export orders में above-trend growth दर्ज की गई, जिसमें Asia, North America, Middle East और UK से gains देखने को मिले।
Input Costs, Inflation और Competitive Pricing का असर
Companies ने बताया कि input costs और output charges में पिछले month की तुलना में तेजी से वृद्धि हुई, हालांकि inflation rates अब भी long-run averages से नीचे रहीं। Competitive pricing, demand buoyancy और positive client interest ने new orders और output growth को support किया। वहीं, alternative providers की बढ़ती मौजूदगी और कहीं और सस्ती services उपलब्ध होने से growth कुछ हद तक constrained रही। S&P Global Market Intelligence की Economics Associate Director Pollyanna De Lima ने कहा कि December में service sector का performance अच्छा रहा, लेकिन 2025 के अंत में कई survey indicators में retreat यह संकेत देता है कि नए साल में growth में moderation आ सकता है।
Benign Inflation और Export Competitiveness से उम्मीद
Pollyanna के अनुसार, benign inflation environment India service sector के लिए positive factor बना हुआ है। अगर services firms के expenses में केवल mild increase होता रहा, तो वे price hikes को सीमित रख पाएंगी, जिससे sales को boost और employment generation में मदद मिलेगी। Rupee की हालिया कमजोरी से import costs बढ़े हो सकते हैं, लेकिन इससे exports अधिक competitive हुए। Report में यह भी जोड़ा गया कि slowing growth के wider trend के बावजूद December में services exports में बेहतर वृद्धि दर्ज की गई। आगे देखते हुए, private sector companies growth prospects को लेकर optimistic रहीं, हालांकि sentiment का level 41-month low पर फिसल गया, report में यह उल्लेख किया गया।
