India अब तेजी से global cybersecurity powerhouse के रूप में उभर रहा है।
400+ startups और 6.5 लाख से ज्यादा skilled professionals मिलकर देश की $20 billion cybersecurity industry को नई ऊंचाइयों पर ले जा रहे हैं — ऐसा कहना है Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General, CERT-In और Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), MeitY का।
“Indian innovators अब advanced threat detection, cyber forensics और AI-based monitoring systems तैयार कर रहे हैं — जो India के secure digital ecosystem को मजबूत बना रहे हैं,” Dr. Bahl ने कहा।
🤖 AI – A Double-Edged Sword in Cybersecurity
Dr. Bahl ने बताया कि Artificial Intelligence (AI) एक double-edged sword की तरह है —
जहां एक ओर यह cyber defenders को real-time protection देता है, वहीं दूसरी ओर attackers भी इसे malicious purposes के लिए इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं।
CERT-In अब AI-driven analytics और automation tools का इस्तेमाल कर रही है ताकि cyber incidents को real-time में detect, prevent और respond किया जा सके।
“हम AI-enabled attacks के खिलाफ countermeasures भी तैयार कर रहे हैं,” उन्होंने कहा।
🛡️ CERT-In’s Key Role in India’s Cyber Defence
Session के दौरान visiting European Union (EU) journalists को बताया गया कि CERT-In किस तरह से:

Cyber crisis management, vulnerability assessment, और information sharing में काम करता है।

Organisations और citizens को timely alerts और advisories देकर emerging threats से बचाव करता है — बिना panic फैलाए।
Ministry of IT के अनुसार, journalists को CERT-In की continuous drills, capacity-building programs, और international collaborations (जैसे कि France की ANSSI agency के साथ partnership) के बारे में भी जानकारी दी गई।
💥 India Reported 147 Ransomware Attacks in 2024
Dr. Bahl ने बताया कि 2024 में 147 ransomware incidents रिपोर्ट हुए थे, लेकिन CERT-In की coordinated action और real-time intelligence sharing से इनका असर काफी हद तक कम किया जा सका।
“हमारा focus है rapid forensic intervention और impact mitigation पर,” उन्होंने कहा।
