FitFeast Journey With Aditya Poddar Building India’s Protein Snack Movement

Rajshree Upadhyaya | Business Remedies | FitFeast is an Indian protein nutrition brand that grew out of a deeply personal journey. Founded in 2021 by Aditya Poddar, the company was born from his own experience of losing close to 20 kilograms and realising how difficult it was to consistently consume protein without getting bored of bland and chalky foods. That frustration became the foundation of FitFeast, a brand built on the belief that nutrition should feel enjoyable and indulgent while still being functional and effective for everyday life.

From the start, Aditya envisioned FitFeast as more than a fitness supplement label. He wanted to create everyday foods that naturally fit into Indian eating habits while helping bridge the country’s chronic protein gap. This philosophy shaped a portfolio of high protein snacks designed to deliver both flavour and nutrition. The brand introduced protein chips that offered crunch and taste without deep frying, protein peanut butters inspired by dessert flavours, protein bars positioned as guilt free treats, and convenient protein shakes that felt closer to familiar Indian desserts than traditional supplements. Each product was developed to appeal not just to gym goers but also to working professionals, students, and anyone looking to improve daily nutrition.

In its early phase, FitFeast focused heavily on direct to consumer distribution, selling through its own website and major online marketplaces. This digital first approach allowed the brand to reach customers across thousands of pin codes while keeping a close feedback loop on taste, texture, and repeat purchases. Within a short span, FitFeast managed to cross the Rs. 1 crore annual revenue mark without institutional funding, validating its core thesis that taste could be the biggest driver of adoption in the protein category.

The brand’s trajectory changed significantly after its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4 in 2025. Aditya Poddar entered the Tank with a clear articulation of FitFeast’s mission and traction, seeking Rs. 1 crore in exchange for equity. His personal story, combined with strong consumer pull and differentiated products, resonated with the investors. After detailed discussions around margins, scalability, and brand positioning, FitFeast secured a deal of Rs. 1 crore for approximately 18 percent equity from Anupam Mittal and Viraj Bahl. The deal not only provided capital but also brought strategic guidance and heightened national visibility.

Following the show, FitFeast witnessed a surge in brand awareness and customer interest. This momentum translated into a Rs. 5.5 crore seed funding round later in 2025 led by Inflection Point Ventures. The round also saw participation from notable angel investors and industry leaders, along with high profile athletes Shane Watson and Axar Patel joining as investors and brand ambassadors. Their association helped FitFeast strengthen its credibility and expand its appeal among fitness enthusiasts and mainstream consumers alike.

With fresh capital, the company focused on scaling marketing efforts, strengthening leadership, expanding product development, and improving supply chain efficiency. FitFeast continued to refine its flavours to suit Indian preferences while maintaining high protein content, positioning itself at the intersection of indulgence and nutrition. Its presence across E-commerce and quick commerce platforms further reinforced its ambition to become an everyday household protein brand rather than a niche fitness label.

As of now, FitFeast is operational and actively growing in the Indian market. The brand continues to launch new formats, build community engagement, and expand its reach across urban and semi-urban consumers. What began as Aditya Poddar’s personal health challenge has evolved into a fast growing startup that reflects a broader shift in how Indians approach food, wellness, and convenience. FitFeast’s journey underscores how taste led innovation, when combined with authentic storytelling and disciplined execution, can redefine an entire category.
