प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने रविवार को कहा कि भारत का उत्तर-पूर्वी क्षेत्र (Northeast Region) अब केवल देश की सीमा (frontier) नहीं है, बल्कि यह भारत का अग्रिम चेहरा (forward face) बन चुका है।

PM Modi ने लिखा कि Scindia ने North East को ‘Ashtalakshmi’ बताते हुए समझाया है कि यह क्षेत्र अब भारत का प्राकृतिक द्वार (Natural Gateway) बन रहा है Southeast Asia की ओर।

🛣️ Connectivity & Transformation in the North East
केंद्रीय मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया ने अपने लेख में कहा कि जैसे-जैसे connectivity बढ़ रही है, Northeast भारत का Southeast Asia से स्वाभाविक संपर्क मार्ग (natural gateway) बनता जा रहा है।
उन्होंने बताया कि उनका हालिया असम और मेघालय का दौरा अत्यंत प्रेरणादायक रहा।
“The breathtaking beauty of the Northeast is matched only by the warmth and simplicity of its people,” — Scindia wrote, adding that he returned “deeply moved and inspired” to work even harder for the region’s progress.
🏗️ Modi Government’s Vision for the Region
Scindia ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के नेतृत्व में केंद्र सरकार उत्तर-पूर्व को connectivity, culture और commerce का vibrant centre बना रही है।
“अगर PM Modi की दूरदर्शी सोच और चुनौतियों को अवसर में बदलने की क्षमता न होती, तो आज का यह पुनर्जागरण (resurgence of hope) एक दूर का सपना बना रहता,” उन्होंने कहा।
उन्होंने जोड़ा कि जैसे-जैसे Northeast landlocked से land-linked region में बदल रहा है, वैसे-वैसे यहां विकास और सम्मान के साथ समावेशिता (inclusivity) बढ़ रही है।
🍄 Mushroom Revolution in Meghalaya
सिंधिया ने मेघालय के अपर शिलांग स्थित Mushroom Development Centre का दौरा भी किया, जहां उन्होंने कहा कि यह “quiet revolution in the heart of Meghalaya” है — जहाँ विज्ञान और समुदाय (science and community) मिलकर rural livelihoods को transform कर रहे हैं।
📍 यह केंद्र 1982 में North Eastern Council के तहत स्थापित किया गया था और अब इसमें नया Shiitake Mushroom Production and Training Centre जोड़ा गया है, जो हर साल 1.5 लाख sawdust blocks तैयार करता है।
प्रत्येक ब्लॉक से लगभग 1 किलो शिटाके मशरूम का उत्पादन होता है, जिसकी बाजार कीमत ₹1,000 तक हो सकती है।
“Beyond the numbers, what touched me most were the faces of the farmers — their eyes gleaming with pride,” Scindia said, describing how the project promotes dignified livelihoods, green entrepreneurship, and an Atmanirbhar Northeast envisioned by the PM.
