Bajaj Auto पर Uttarakhand से ₹34.74 करोड़ tax demand

Mumbai, Dec 2 (IANS) – Bajaj Auto ने मंगलवार को बताया कि उसे Uttarakhand tax authorities की तरफ से ₹34.74 करोड़ की tax demand मिली है, जो कि कंपनी द्वारा supplied spare parts की alleged misclassification को लेकर है। इसके साथ ही ₹3.47 करोड़ का penalty भी लगाया गया है, जैसा कि regulatory filing में बताया गया।

Deputy Commissioner, Rudrapur ने order में कहा कि चूंकि Bajaj Auto एक automobile manufacturer है, इसलिए कंपनी द्वारा supplied spare parts को auto parts category में ही treat किया जाना चाहिए। Authorities का कहना है कि ये parts customised हैं और केवल vehicles के निर्माण में उपयोग होते हैं, इसलिए इन्हें अलग tax category में रखा जाना चाहिए।
