India–UAE trade hits $100 bn, CEPA partnership gets new speed

भारत और संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (UAE) ने Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) के तहत आर्थिक सहयोग को और तेज़ करने पर सहमति जताई है, as bilateral trade has crossed the landmark figure of $100 billion.
यह फैसला CEPA के Joint Committee की तीसरी बैठक में हुआ, which was held in New Delhi on Thursday.

Official statement के अनुसार, FY 2024–25 में भारत–यूएई व्यापार $100.06 billion तक पहुँच गया, reflecting a strong growth of 19.6%.

Both sides welcomed the strong momentum in trade and agreed to further enhance cooperation in trade facilitation, regulatory frameworks and data sharing mechanisms.

कमर्शियल मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, दोनों पक्षों ने हाल की high-level meetings की भी समीक्षा की, including interactions between:

• Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal (India)

• Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade (UAE)

These meetings were held in Mumbai and Dubai, strengthening trust and long-term economic collaboration.

• Food safety agreement | फ़ूड सेफ्टी समझौता

जल्द ही APEDA (India) और MoCCAE (UAE) के बीच Food Safety और Technical Standards पर एक MoU साइन होने की उम्मीद है, which will boost agricultural and processed food exports.

In September, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated that:
