Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal ने गुरुवार को Switzerland की State Secretary for Economic Affairs Helene Budliger Artieda से मुलाकात की, where both sides discussed investment opportunities in India’s pharmaceutical sector.
Artieda इस समय India visit पर हैं along with a Swiss pharma delegation, aimed at exploring business prospects in healthcare and biotechnology.

Piyush Goyal ने X पर पोस्ट करते हुए बताया कि Swiss pharma और biotech कंपनियों के साथ बैठक में:

R&D cooperation के नए रास्तों पर चर्चा हुई and
Swiss companies को India के मजबूत healthcare sector में निवेश बढ़ाने के मौके तलाशने पर जोर दिया गया.

The talks highlighted India as a fast-growing hub for affordable medicines, innovation and manufacturing strength.

📜 Trade Agreement Update | व्यापार समझौते पर चर्चा

Goyal ने यह भी बताया कि उन्होंने India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) की progress पर बातचीत की, with the aim to boost cooperation across key sectors for mutual growth.

इस बीच, Artieda ने भी X पर जानकारी दी कि Finance Secretary Anuradha Thakur के साथ उनकी meeting हुई, where:

• Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) पर बातचीत तेज़ करने पर सहमति बनी

• इसे Swiss investors के लिए “a crucial agreement” बताया गया

🌍 About TEPA | टीईपीए के बारे में

India ने EFTA देशों — Switzerland, Iceland, Norway और Liechtenstein — के साथ TEPA पर काम किया है.
