Hyundai Motor Group ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि उसने on-device artificial intelligence (AI) chip का mass production शुरू कर दिया है, जो robots को बिना external network connectivity के autonomous तरीके से operate करने में सक्षम बनाता है। यह development robotics और automation sector के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण milestone माना जा रहा है। इस chip का official announcement CES 2026 के दौरान Las Vegas में किया गया, जहां Hyundai Motor Group ने अपनी Robotics Lab और South Korea आधारित AI chip company DeepX के बीच तीन साल की strategic partnership के results को showcase किया। Yonhap news agency के अनुसार, इस collaboration का मुख्य उद्देश्य robots को ज्यादा independent और efficient बनाना है।
Ultra low-power Edge Brain chip की खासियत
Edge Brain नाम की यह ultra low-power chip 5 watts से कम power consume करती है और robots को real-time perception तथा autonomous decision-making की capability प्रदान करती है। इस technology की सबसे बड़ी खासियत यह है कि robots को cloud या network connections पर depend नहीं करना पड़ता, जिससे speed और data security दोनों में improvement होता है। Hyundai Motor के अनुसार, यह advanced chip पहले ही Robotics Lab के कई projects में integrate की जा चुकी है। इनमें Facey नाम का facial recognition system शामिल है, जो अभी development phase में है, और एक delivery robot भी शामिल है, जो वर्तमान में demonstration stage में है। कंपनी ने कहा कि Edge Brain chip को phase-wise तरीके से अन्य projects में apply किया जाएगा। इनमें AI security solutions और next-generation mobile robots शामिल हैं। इसके साथ ही Hyundai Motor का aim airports और hospitals जैसे locations पर pilot projects के जरिए real-world applications को expand करना है, जिससे autonomous robots का practical use और बढ़ सके।
Hyundai और Nvidia की संभावित partnership पर चर्चाएं तेज
इस बीच, South Korea की automotive giant Hyundai Motor Group के head ने CES 2026 के sidelines पर Nvidia के chief executive officer (CEO) से मुलाकात की। इस meeting के बाद autonomous driving technologies में दोनों companies के बीच potential partnership की उम्मीदें बढ़ गई हैं। Industry sources के अनुसार, Hyundai के executive chair Euisun Chung ने Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang के साथ Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel में closed-door meeting की। इससे पहले भी दोनों leaders Seoul में informal meeting कर चुके हैं, जिसमें Samsung Electronics Co. के chairman Lee Jae-yong भी शामिल थे। यह meeting October में हुई थी, जब Jensen Huang Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit में हिस्सा लेने South Korea आए थे।
