Blackstone के President और Chief Operating Officer Jon Gray ने India को दुनिया के सबसे attractive investment destinations में से एक बताया और इसे “the fastest-growing country” करार दिया।
एक इवेंट में बोलते हुए, Gray ने India की मजबूत economy, बढ़ती middle class और infrastructure development की major push की तारीफ की, और इसे global investors के लिए “compelling long-term opportunity” बताया।
Gray ने तीन ऐसे areas को highlight किया जिनमें उन्हें सबसे strong investment potential दिखाई देता है – real estate, secondary markets, और India।
उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले कुछ सालों में challenges के बावजूद, commercial real estate अब एक favorable phase में प्रवेश कर रहा है।
“It’s been three and a half very tough years for commercial real estate, but now a good dynamic has taken over. New supply has dropped by nearly 70 per cent, costs are coming down, and assets have been repriced. This is the time to be an investor in commercial real estate,” Gray ने कहा।
उन्होंने secondary markets को भी एक growing opportunity बताया, noting कि industry ने पिछले 15 सालों में $23 billion से बढ़कर $200 billion तक का expansion किया है।
“Some worry that this has gotten too big, but it’s still just one and a half percent of total assets under management. We believe discounts and opportunities in secondaries will continue to persist,” उन्होंने बताया।
India के बारे में बात करते हुए, Gray ने कहा कि देश अपनी resilience और potential के लिए standout करता है।
“This is the fastest-growing country. There’s been some geopolitical tension recently, but India is investing heavily in infrastructure and has a rapidly rising middle class. This is a place we particularly like,” उन्होंने कहा।
Gray के comments ऐसे समय में आए हैं जब International Monetary Fund (IMF) ने India के current fiscal year के GDP growth forecast को revise करके 6.6% कर दिया, जो पहले 6.4% था।
IMF ने कहा कि India की strong domestic growth US tariffs के exports पर असर को offset करने में मदद कर रही है।
IMF के latest World Economic Outlook के अनुसार, अगले साल Indian economy 6.2% की growth की उम्मीद है।
