⚓ Major Policy Support Strengthens Shipbuilding Push

भारत ने जहाज निर्माण को तेज़ी देने के लिए कई समर्थन उपाय लागू किए हैं, including 15–25% capital support for vessels built domestically and an additional 5% incentive for ship recycling. सरकार ने मरीन डेवलपमेंट फंड स्थापित किया है, and it will aid equity financing alongside 3% interest subvention and infrastructure support for greenfield shipyards. मंत्री ने विशेष रूप से LNG और क्रूड कैरियर जहाजों के निर्माण पर जोर दिया, reflecting India’s focus on developing a self-reliant maritime ecosystem to meet future energy requirements.

पुरी ने उल्सान में एचडी ह्युंदई हेवी इंडस्ट्रीज़ के अत्याधुनिक 1,680-एकड़ शिपयार्ड का भी दौरा किया, and he noted that the facility stands as the world’s largest hub for ship construction, offshore plants, and advanced machinery. उन्होंने कहा कि अगले 15 वर्षों में विश्व के लगभग 20 प्रतिशत जहाज भारत से जुड़े मार्गों पर होंगे, and this presents a golden opportunity for Korean firms to partner with India and “Make in India for the World.”
