SEBI: Weekly F&O Expiries तुरंत बंद नहीं होंगी, बदलाव होंगे Phased & Data-Based

SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey ने Friday को कहा कि Futures and Options (F&O) segment में होने वाले बदलाव phased और calibrated manner में implement किए जाएंगे — यानी अचानक से weekly expiries को बंद करना possible नहीं है।

🗣️ उन्होंने कहा – “We cannot just shut down weekly F&O expiries. Many market participants are actively using it.”
मतलब, बहुत सारे traders और investors weekly expiry system पर depend करते हैं, इसलिए इसे तुरंत रोकना logical नहीं होगा।

📊 Data Analysis & Consultation Process

SEBI फिलहाल F&O trading patterns पर massive data collect और analyze कर रहा है 📈।
Pandey ने बताया कि ये data analysis public consultation के form में जारी किया जाएगा, ताकि कोई भी major change market ecosystem को disturb ना करे।

⚙️ Already Implemented & Upcoming Measures

उन्होंने ये भी बताया कि derivatives sector में SEBI ने कुछ reforms पहले ही लागू कर दिए हैं, जिनमें से कुछ अभी effective नहीं हुए हैं।
पहले reports आई थीं कि SEBI शायद weekly F&O expiries खत्म करने पर विचार कर रहा है ताकि cash market trading को बढ़ावा दिया जा सके और speculation कम हो।
Pandey ने indirectly clear कर दिया कि ऐसा कोई immediate step नहीं लिया जाएगा।

🕒 T+0 Settlement Extension for QSBs

इसके अलावा, SEBI ने Qualified Stock Brokers (QSBs) को T+0 settlement system implement करने की deadline extend कर दी है ⏳।
पहले ये deadline November 1, 2025 थी, लेकिन operational challenges के कारण इसे बढ़ाया गया है।
SEBI जल्द ही नई revised timeline जारी करेगा ताकि investors की seamless participation सुनिश्चित हो सके।

Market regulator SEBI धीरे-धीरे reforms लाना चाहता है — sudden decisions नहीं।
Pandey का यह statement clear signal है कि weekly F&O expiries फिलहाल जारी रहेंगी लेकिन data-based regulatory improvements आने वाले समय में देखे जा सकते हैं।
