यह development tariff-based competitive bidding (Phase-7) के तहत Viability Gap Funding के साथ Power System Development Fund (PSDF) द्वारा supported है। यह project Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) के execution और regulatory approvals के अधीन है।
Gujarat में 2000 MW/4000 MWh की कुल project capacity के अंतर्गत 65 MW/130 MWh की standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) स्थापित की जा रही है।
