National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE) और Indian Gas Exchange (IGX) ने मिलकर Indian Natural Gas Futures contract लॉन्च करने की योजना बनाई है। यह कदम देश के प्राकृतिक गैस मार्केट ecosystem को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से उठाया गया है, एक आधिकारिक बयान में शुक्रवार को कहा गया।
Transparent और efficient Risk Management Tool उपलब्ध होगा
Proposed futures product market participants को एक transparent और efficient risk-management tool उपलब्ध कराएगा, जो India के evolving natural gas pricing framework के अनुरूप होगा। NSE ने बताया कि यह collaboration उनके derivatives market expertise और IGX के spot natural gas trading, price discovery और physical market development में leadership को combine करेगा। Indian Natural Gas Futures का introduction gas producers, city gas distribution companies, power generators, fertiliser manufacturers, industrial consumers, traders और financial participants के लिए लाभकारी होगा, क्योंकि यह price volatility के खिलाफ effective hedging और long-term planning में मदद करेगा,” बयान में कहा गया।
NSE का प्रयास commodity derivatives markets में गहराई लाने का
NSE Chief Business Development Officer Sriram Krishnan ने कहा कि यह partnership “NSE के प्रयासों में एक महत्वपूर्ण step है, जिससे India के commodity derivatives markets को और मजबूत किया जा सके।” उन्होंने बताया कि natural gas India के energy mix में एक critical transition fuel के रूप में उभर रहा है। Domestic futures contract से price transparency बढ़ेगी, risk management capabilities improve होंगी, और Indian market fundamentals के अनुरूप credible gas price benchmark का विकास होगा। Krishnan ने कहा, “NSE के market infrastructure और IGX के physical market expertise का leverage करके हम एक ऐसा futures product तैयार करेंगे, जो पूरे gas value chain के लिए relevant, liquid और trusted होगा।”
भारत के energy basket में natural gas की हिस्सेदारी बढ़ाना उद्देश्य
Proposed collaboration India के broader objective के अनुरूप है, जिससे natural gas की energy basket में हिस्सेदारी बढ़े और market-based pricing mechanisms को promote किया जा सके। Regulatory approvals के बाद, NSE और IGX contract design की details और timelines announce करेंगे और stakeholders के साथ मिलकर smooth launch सुनिश्चित करेंगे। सरकार ने power generation के लिए natural gas availability बढ़ाने के कई measures लिए हैं, जिसमें National Gas Grid का expansion शामिल है, जिससे domestic gas sources और Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals को power plants से जोड़ा जा सके।
