अब Machine-to-Machine (M2M) SIM ownership transfer होगा आसान और सुरक्षित

Department of Telecommunications (DoT) ने Machine-to-Machine (M2M) SIMs के ownership transfer के लिए एक नया framework जारी किया है। इस framework का उद्देश्य है कि Internet of Things (IoT) services में किसी भी प्रकार का service disruption न हो जब ownership बदली जाए।

💡 Background:
अब तक के existing guidelines में M2M SIM ownership change की कोई स्पष्ट व्यवस्था नहीं थी।
नया framework इस कमी को पूरा करता है और एक formal, transparent process निर्धारित करता है जिससे transfer smoothly और compliance के साथ हो सके।

🏛️ Key Highlights of the Framework:

• यह framework सभी M2M Service Providers (M2MSPs) और Licensees पर लागू होगा।

• कोई भी M2M service user या third party अगर SIM ownership transfer करना चाहता है, तो उसे current M2M service provider को एक formal written request देना होगा जिसमें specific SIMs और intended transferee का विवरण शामिल होगा।

• Transferor को 15 दिनों के भीतर concerned access service provider को एक No Objection Certificate (NOC) देना होगा, बशर्ते कोई dues pending न हों।

• Transferee को एक formal undertaking देना होगा जिसमें वह सभी responsibilities, liabilities और KYC compliance की जिम्मेदारी लेगा।

🔍 Verification & KYC:
Access Service Providers (ASPs) को transfer request, NOC और undertaking को verify करना होगा। Verification के बाद ASPs को फिर से KYC process पूरी करनी होगी और subscriber records को update कर नया ownership reflect करना होगा।

🚫 No Service Discontinuation:
Guidelines के अनुसार, हर M2M SIM को हमेशा किसी न किसी M2M Service Provider या Licensee से mapped रहना अनिवार्य होगा, ताकि M2M services में कोई interruption या discontinuation न हो।

🌐 Government’s Objective:
Ministry of Communications ने कहा कि यह नया framework end-users के हितों की रक्षा करते हुए service providers को operational flexibility देगा। इससे भारत की M2M और IoT ecosystem को अधिक reliable और future-ready बनाया जा सकेगा।
