भारत का telecom sector अगले 10-12 वर्षों में GDP में अपनी contribution को वर्तमान 12-14% से बढ़ाकर 20% करने की तैयारी में है, यह बात Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia ने India Mobile Congress 2025 के Nation Builders Summit में कही।

सरकार telecom sector में facilitator के रूप में काम कर रही है, regulator नहीं। Sector largely deregulated और highly competitive है।

Scindia ने कहा, “This is your time. India will not just be vocal for local but local for global – designing in India, solving in India and scaling for the world.”

भारत ने indigenous 4G technology stack विकसित किया, और दुनिया में पांचवें देश बने जिन्होंने यह capability हासिल की। Development सिर्फ 20 महीनों में पूरा हुआ।

BSNL अपने 4G network का विस्तार करेगा और eventually इसे 5G में upgrade करेगा।
Digital Growth:

भारत में अब 1.2 billion mobile subscribers, जो दुनिया की mobile population का 20% है।

Internet subscriptions 11 साल में 250 million से बढ़कर 974 million हुए।

Broadband coverage 60 million से बढ़कर 944 million हुई।

Scindia ने भारत की digital initiatives को PM Narendra Modi की पहल का credit दिया, जिससे “world’s largest digital highway” बना, 1.4 billion लोगों को globally connect किया।
Entrepreneurship & Local Innovation:

Tier-2 और Tier-3 towns में entrepreneurial capacity बढ़ी है, जो पहले केवल 6 major cities तक सीमित थी।

Semiconductor fabs अब Gujarat से Assam तक बन रहे हैं, जो Industrial Revolution के दौरान roadways और railways के impact की तरह लोगों, production और opportunities को जोड़ रहे हैं।
