2025 Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) के लिए एक landmark year रहा। BIS Director General Sanjay Garg ने बताया कि इस वर्ष organisation ने 600 से अधिक new standards develop किए, जिससे total standards की संख्या 23,293 हो गई। ये standards AYUSH sector, robotics systems, artificial intelligence applications, ecology framework और emerging technologies जैसे diverse fields को cover करते हैं। यह initiative Indian quality ecosystem को global benchmarks के करीब ले जाने में सहायक रहा।
Product Certification में Strong Expansion, Fast-Track Scheme को Boost
Sanjay Garg के अनुसार product certification process में significant growth देखने को मिला। Fast-track certification scheme के अंतर्गत products की संख्या 758 से बढ़कर 1,288 हो गई। 2025 में ही लगभग 9,700 new licences grant किए गए, जिनमें से अधिकांश licences 30 days के भीतर approve हुए। इससे total product certification licences की संख्या 51,500 से अधिक हो गई।
Mandatory Certification के तहत 124 New Products शामिल
2025 में पहली बार 124 new products को mandatory BIS certification के अंतर्गत लाया गया। इसके साथ certified products की total संख्या 1,437 से अधिक हो गई। इसमें currency note sorting machines, जिन्हें RBI के collaboration से cover किया गया, और injection moulding machines जैसे products शामिल हैं, जिन्हें ISO standards के अनुरूप machinery safety के लिए certify किया गया।
Digitalisation से Licensing Process हुआ Faster और Transparent
79th BIS Foundation Day के अवसर पर Garg ने बताया कि BIS ने digitalisation को aggressively adopt किया है। Manak Online Portal, simplified licensing procedures, fast-track trial licences, cluster-based testing facilities और testing infrastructure के strengthening से system अधिक efficient बना। इसके परिणामस्वरूप simplified procedure के तहत 98 प्रतिशत licences और normal procedure के तहत 85 प्रतिशत licences 30 days के भीतर grant हो रहे हैं।
International Best Practices के साथ Standards का Alignment
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi ने कहा कि BIS standardisation के क्षेत्र में लगातार evolve कर रहा है और internationally accepted best practices को formulate और adopt कर रहा है। आज Indian Standards केवल traditional sectors तक सीमित नहीं हैं, बल्कि renewable energy, electric mobility, smart infrastructure, digital technologies, sustainability, green products और bomb disposal systems तथा electric agricultural tractors जैसे emerging areas को भी cover करते हैं।
Regulation से Facilitation की ओर BIS का Transformation
Union Minister ने यह भी बताया कि Prime Minister Narendra Modi के leadership में पिछले एक decade में BIS ने regulation से facilitation और compliance से quality culture की दिशा में fundamental transformation किया है। Ease of doing business के government focus के अनुरूप BIS ने compliance procedures rationalise किए, MSMEs और laboratories को fee relaxation दी, large industries के लिए in-house laboratory requirement को optional बनाया और market surveillance को strengthen किया।
MSMEs को Financial Support और Fee Concessions
MSMEs को support देने के लिए BIS Annual Minimum Marking Fee में substantial concessions provide करता है। Micro Enterprises को 80 प्रतिशत, Small Enterprises को 50 प्रतिशत और Medium Enterprises को 20 प्रतिशत की fee concession दी जाती है। इस initiative से छोटे उद्योगों को quality standards अपनाने में ease मिली है और Indian products की global competitiveness बढ़ी है।
