Refining Capacity में बड़ा विस्तार
New Delhi में Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri ने कहा कि वैश्विक Refining Capacity को लेकर जारी अनिश्चितता के बीच India अपनी Oil Refining क्षमता तेजी से बढ़ा रहा है। देश फिलहाल दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा Refiner है और इसकी Refining Capacity करीब 272 MMTPA से बढ़ाकर 300 MMTPA तक ले जाने की दिशा में काम किया जा रहा है।
23 Refineries से मजबूत हुआ India
Hardeep Singh Puri के मुताबिक India में वर्तमान में 23 Refineries हैं, जो सालाना करीब 270 million metric tonnes Crude Oil को Process करती हैं। India Refined Petroleum Products का Net Exporter भी है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह क्षमता केवल एक आर्थिक Asset नहीं, बल्कि वैश्विक स्तर पर भरोसेमंद और स्थिर Energy Partner बनने की जिम्मेदारी भी है।
Mauritius के साथ ऐतिहासिक MoU
India और Mauritius ने Oil and Gas Sector में सहयोग बढ़ाने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इसके साथ ही IndianOil और Mauritius की State Trading Corporation के बीच पांच साल का Supply Agreement भी हुआ है।
Petrol से ATF तक होगी Supply
Agreement के तहत IndianOil, Mauritius को Petrol, Diesel, Marine Gas Oil और Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) की सुनिश्चित Supply करेगा। इससे Mauritius को Long-Term Supply Certainty, बेहतर Price Stability और मजबूत Energy Security मिलने की उम्मीद है।
Clean Fuel Cooperation पर भी जोर
Puri ने कहा कि Mauritius की नई National Biofuel Policy Framework से दोनों देशों के बीच Clean और Sustainable Fuels के क्षेत्र में भी सहयोग बढ़ेगा। उन्होंने India-Mauritius Energy Partnership को Predictability, Stability और Mutual Prosperity की साझा प्रतिबद्धता बताया।
