Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) ने सरकार से अपील की है कि वह Customs Act में संशोधन, concessional export credit, SEZ Act amendment की तेज़ मंज़ूरी, और National Gem & Jewellery Park Policy जैसी पहलों को जल्द लागू करे ताकि भारत की global competitiveness और export potential को मज़बूती मिले।
🏛️ Key Meeting with PM Modi
Council के चेयरमैन किरित भंसाली ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित एक बैठक में export sector के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ ये policy suggestions साझा किए।
उन्होंने कहा कि भारत को Belgium, London, USA और UAE जैसे अग्रणी व्यापारिक हब्स के साथ प्रतिस्पर्धा में बने रहने के लिए efficient और trade-friendly business environment तैयार करना होगा।
⚙️ Proposed Customs Overhaul
भंसाली ने कहा कि उद्योग को Customs Act, 1962 के modernisation की उम्मीद है, जिसमें शामिल हैं:
- Risk Management System (RMS) का implementation
- AI-based digital appraisals for faster clearances
🔹 इन बदलावों से customs प्रक्रिया होगी तेज़, पारदर्शी और cost-efficient, जिससे भारत की ease of doing business और global competitiveness दोनों बेहतर होंगी।
💰 Concessional Credit & Export Incentives
Council ने MSME units के लिए concessional export credit scheme की मांग की है।
साथ ही, GJEPC ने सुझाव दिया कि सरकार interest subvention और ECGC premium subsidy जैसे उपाय लागू करे ताकि exporters को low-cost financing मिल सके और India’s share in global trade बढ़े।
🏗️ SEZ Act Amendment & Jewellery Park Policy
- GJEPC ने SEZ Act Amendment Bill को जल्द पास करने का आग्रह किया है, ताकि कंपनियां limited domestic sales fair duty adjustment के साथ कर सकें।
- Council ने एक National Gem & Jewellery Park Policy की भी सिफारिश की है, जो domestic manufacturing ecosystem को मजबूत करेगी और global investment आकर्षित करेगी।
🌍 Simplifying Trade Procedures
Council ने Ministry of Finance से आग्रह किया कि export-import procedures को सरल बनाया जाए ताकि भारत का gems & jewellery sector दुनिया के अग्रणी हब्स के बराबर हो सके।
