Tamil Nadu में अब daily electricity demand 16,000 MW के करीब पहुँच गई है। इसे पूरा करने के लिए अगले पांच सालों में राज्य Rs 25,100 crore खर्च करेगा ताकि बिजली regular और peak hours में बिना रुकावट मिले ⚡🏭।
🏭 Current Power Generation Snapshot
TANGEDCO के अनुसार:

Thermal plants: 3,000 MW

Hydropower stations: 1,000 MW

Gas-based plants: 150 MW
बाकी की जरूरत central generating stations और private producers से पूरी होती है।
⏰ Peak Hours के लिए 500 MW रोज़ाना
राज्य ने next three years के लिए peak hours में रोज़ाना 500 MW बिजली खरीदने के लिए tender निकाला है।

Peak hours: 6 AM–10 AM और 6 PM–10 PM

Maximum tariff: Rs 8/unit

Daily cost: ≈ ₹3.2 crore, यानी तीन साल में ≈ ₹3,500 crore
🌐 24-Hour Power Procurement: 1,000 MW
इसके अलावा, 1,000 MW round-the-clock बिजली खरीदने का five-year tender भी जारी किया गया है।
