Business Remedies | Jaipur | Rajshree Upadhyaya | April 29,2025 | In the rapidly urbanizing cities of India, where space is increasingly scarce, three entrepreneurs, Sudeep Gupta, Swati Gupta, and Lovedeep Gupta, recognized a problem that had long been ignored: the need for accessible, flexible, and secure storage solutions. With diverse professional backgrounds, they set out to tackle this challenge. Sudeep’s operational experience from OYO and Cars24 provided the foundation for scalable systems, while Swati’s legal expertise from Canon India and the Delhi High Court offered strategic insight. Lovedeep’s marketing leadership, shaped by roles at Cipla, MamaEarth, and Perfetti Van Melle, brought a deep understanding of consumer behavior. Together, they founded Store My Goods in December 2021, a tech-enabled platform that aimed to transform the storage and relocation industry in India.

The founders’ vision was simple yet profound: to create a seamless, secure, and affordable storage solution. They realized that during life transitions like relocations, renovations, or business expansions, individuals and businesses often struggle to find reliable temporary storage. Store My Goods was designed not just to provide storage space but to offer an end-to-end service: online booking, pick-up, secure storage, and easy returns, all facilitated through a user-friendly digital interface. With services starting at Rs. 199 and a focus on flexibility and robust security features, the company quickly filled a gap in an underserved market.

The startup’s innovative approach gained significant attention when it appeared on Season 1 of Shark Tank India. The founders pitched their business, seeking Rs. 1 crore in exchange for 1.75% equity, valuing the company at Rs. 57.14 crore. Their pitch, which positioned Store My Goods as the “Airbnb for storage spaces,” resonated with the sharks. Impressed by the business model and the team’s vision, Namita Thapar and Peyush Bansal offered Rs. 50 lakhs for 4% equity, along with Rs. 50 lakhs as debt at 12% interest. This deal provided the capital and mentorship necessary for rapid expansion.

Following their appearance on the show, Store My Goods expanded to over 50 cities, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. The company’s clientele grew to include major brands like Chaayos, CarDekho, Kotak, and Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Limited. With services tailored to both individuals and businesses, the company became a trusted partner for managing storage needs during life’s transitions.
In early 2023, Store My Goods raised $1 million in seed funding, led by JITO Angel Network and supported by industry veterans such as Gajendra Jangid of Cars24 and Ruchit Agarwal. This funding helped strengthen the company’s technology platform, improve logistics, and expand its reach. New features like a self-care portal, real-time inventory management, and transparent billing further enhanced the customer experience.

The journey of Store My Goods also highlights the entrepreneurial path of Lovedeep Gupta. Raised in Modinagar, Lovedeep initially aimed for a career in engineering but soon found his passion in sales and marketing. His experience at Zomato and Paytm exposed him to the inner workings of Indian startups, while his roles at Cipla and MamaEarth sharpened his brand-building skills. During the pandemic, as he observed the growing need for affordable storage, Lovedeep and his sister Swati launched the first version of Store My Goods in Noida. Their determination, coupled with word-of-mouth recommendations, allowed the company to grow steadily.

Today, Store My Goods stands as a successful example of how identifying a real-world problem and addressing it with a tech-first, customer-focused approach can lead to significant business growth. From its humble beginnings, the company now manages the storage of over a million items across India. The founders’ vision of making storage as easy as booking a hotel room has not only resonated with users but also inspired other entrepreneurs to rethink traditional industries. Looking ahead, Store My Goods aspires to become a global platform, empowering individuals and businesses worldwide to store, manage, and move their goods with confidence and convenience. The company’s story is a testament to the power of resilience, innovation, and customer-centricity in shaping the future of Indian entrepreneurship.
