Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal ने बुधवार को कहा कि Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) ने पिछले चार वर्षों में India के e-commerce landscape को transform किया है। उन्होंने बताया कि यह initiative digital trade को अधिक open, inclusive और accessible बनाकर सभी stakeholders को लाभ पहुंचा रहा है।
Open Network for Digital Commerce के चार वर्ष पूरे होने के अवसर पर Minister ने कहा कि ONDC ने products और services के क्षेत्र में e-commerce को democratised करने का कार्य किया है। उन्होंने बताया कि open participation को बढ़ावा देकर और innovation तथा collaboration को foster करके network ने digital commerce को नई दिशा दी है। Social media platform X पर अपने post में Piyush Goyal ने कहा कि ONDC ने small shopkeepers को digital marketplace में लाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। उन्होंने बताया कि consumers और sellers दोनों के लिए access को widen किया गया है, जिससे पूरे ecosystem में trust मजबूत हुआ है।
Minister ने कहा कि पिछले चार वर्षों में ONDC ने products और services के e-commerce को democratised किया है और open participation के माध्यम से innovation तथा collaboration को आगे बढ़ाया है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि small shopkeepers को digital marketplace से जोड़कर और सभी के लिए access बढ़ाकर consumers और sellers दोनों को benefit मिला है। यह remarks ऐसे समय में आए हैं जब government ONDC को closed e-commerce platforms के alternative के रूप में promote कर रही है। Traditional marketplaces के विपरीत, जो silo में operate करते हैं, ONDC sellers को multiple buyer apps के माध्यम से customers तक पहुंचने की सुविधा देता है, बिना किसी single platform या restrictive terms and conditions से जुड़े।
Parliament में पहले share किए गए government data के अनुसार, वर्तमान में ONDC पर 630 से अधिक cities और towns से 1.16 lakh से ज्यादा retail sellers live हैं। Network small और micro businesses के लिए entry barriers को कम करता है, क्योंकि यह different buyer और seller applications के बीच interoperability enable करता है, जिससे digital commerce में competition बढ़ता है। Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada ने पहले Lok Sabha को बताया था कि ONDC पर same products और services offer करने वाले multiple platforms की presence consumers के लिए price transparency improve करती है। उन्होंने कहा कि buyers को wider range के products और services का benefit मिलता है, क्योंकि different regions और varying sizes के sellers एक single open network पर accessible हो जाते हैं।
