Government के अनुसार hazardous sectors में काम करने वाले workers के लिए new Labour Codes एक impactful shift लाते हैं,
जो workplaces को safer, fairer और अधिक accountable बनाने की दिशा में बड़ा कदम माने जा रहे हैं।
Mining, petroleum, metallurgy, chemical और heavy manufacturing जैसी industries
India की economic growth में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती हैं,
और इन क्षेत्रों में काम करने वाले workers high-risk environments का सामना करते हैं।
📘 New Labour Codes | नए श्रम कोड की प्रमुख बातें
Workforce के लिए stronger और future-ready safety architecture तैयार करने के लिए
Government ने 29 Central labour laws को मिलाकर चार Labour Codes में consolidate किया है।
Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (OSH&WC) के तहत
एक integrated और preventive safety system शामिल किया गया है, जिसमें
risk assessment, free annual health check-ups, training, PPE, emergency planning जैसी सुविधाएँ provide की गई हैं।
ये reforms safety protocols को मजबूत, risk-mitigation practices को अनिवार्य
और employers को clear और predictable regulatory pathways उपलब्ध कराते हैं।
🧯 Coverage of Hazardous Workers | जोखिमभरी इंडस्ट्री के सभी कर्मचारी शामिल
New framework सुनिश्चित करता है कि hazardous processes या industries में काम करने वाले सभी workers—
जैसे chemical, explosive, gas, radiation, mining, construction, dock और heavy engineering—
पूरी तरह OSH&WC के अंतर्गत covered रहें।
पहले health records manual रूप में maintained होते थे, जिससे
portability और long-term traceability की कमी रहती थी।
अब digital, mandatory और accessible health records employees और inspectors दोनों को उपलब्ध होंगे।
🩺 Health Monitoring & Medical Safety | स्वास्थ्य निगरानी और मेडिकल सुरक्षा
नए Codes के तहत pre-employment, periodic और post-exposure medical examinations mandatory हैं।
साथ ही प्रत्येक worker के लिए free annual health check-up सुनिश्चित किया गया है,
जिससे occupational diseases की early detection संभव हो सके, medical लागत कम हो
और workforce स्वस्थ व अधिक productive बन सके।
🛡️ Social Security Strengthening | सामाजिक सुरक्षा को मजबूत करना
Social Security Code, 2020 (SS)/ESIC के अंतर्गत
occupational diseases या accidents के लिए immediate compensation उपलब्ध कराया जाता है।
Workers को ESIC benefits—जैसे medical, occupational disease, injury, disability
और dependents’ benefits—भी सुनिश्चित किए गए हैं।
इसके अतिरिक्त workers को PF, gratuity, maternity benefits, employment injury compensation
और old-age protection (pension) जैसे अधिकार भी प्राप्त होंगे।
Digital health और social security records से transparency और portability और मजबूत होगी।
🔒 A Safer Labour Ecosystem | सुरक्षित श्रम पारिस्थितिकी की दिशा में कदम
Official statement में कहा गया कि
India stronger safety standards, universal social security, welfare facilities
और emergency response mechanisms के साथ
एक ऐसा labour ecosystem बना रहा है जहाँ सुरक्षा कोई privilege नहीं, बल्कि guarantee होगी।
