Rajshree Upadhyaya | Jaipur | Business Remedies | Rakshit Jain and Divyansh Mangal have built their place by launching the startup Egnosis, which detects autism through Artificial Intelligence. In India’s rapidly evolving health-technology landscape, young entrepreneurs are increasingly turning to Artificial Intelligence to solve complex healthcare challenges. One such emerging venture is Egnosis, a Jaipur-based startup founded in 2024 by Rakshit Jain and Divyansh Mangal. The company was established with a clear mission – to make early autism screening faster, more accessible, and affordable for families. At a time when developmental disorders often go undetected during the crucial early years of childhood, the founders believed that technology could play a vital role in bridging this gap. Both have strong backgrounds in Artificial Intelligence and technology. While exploring real-world applications of AI, they identified the growing challenge of autism diagnosis in India.

Autism Spectrum Disorder affects millions of children worldwide, yet early detection remains a major challenge. Traditional diagnostic methods often involve lengthy behavioral assessments conducted by specialists, which can be expensive and difficult to access, especially for families living outside major cities. Understanding this challenge, the founders decided to build a technology-driven solution that could help identify early behavioral indicators through a digital platform.

This idea eventually evolved into Egnosis, a startup focused on AI-powered autism screening technology designed to detect early developmental signals in children. The system uses computer vision and machine learning models to analyze how children respond to specific visual cues and stimuli. By evaluating factors such as eye-gaze patterns, attention levels, and behavioral responses, the platform can identify potential indicators associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Its objective is not to replace doctors, but to function as an early screening tool that alerts parents and healthcare professionals if further clinical evaluation may be needed.

Focus on Improving System Accuracy
One of the company’s key innovations is its five-minute AI-based autism screening test. The test is designed to be quick and simple so that families can use it through a digital device. During the screening process, the platform records and analyzes behavioral responses using the device’s camera and applies Artificial Intelligence algorithms to generate a developmental report. This report highlights potential risk indicators and, if necessary, guides parents towards professional assessment or therapy.

By reducing the time required for initial screening, the founders aim to promote early intervention, which is widely considered crucial for improving outcomes in children with autism. Egnosis gained significant attention when Rakshit Jain and Divyansh Mangal presented their startup on the business reality television show, Shark Tank India, in 2025. During the pitch, the founders explained how millions of children remain undiagnosed due to the lack of screening tools. They initially sought Rs. 50 lakh in exchange for 4 percent equity in the company. The concept of combining Artificial Intelligence with pediatric behavioral analysis impressed investors, resulting in a deal of Rs. 1 crore for 8 percent equity from Aman Gupta, Piyush Bansal, and Varun Dua. The agreement valued the startup at approximately Rs. 12.5 crore and provided both financial support and mentorship to scale the venture.

After appearing on television, the startup continued to develop its technology and refine its AI models. The founders have focused on improving the system’s accuracy through research and data analysis, while also exploring collaborations with healthcare professionals. Beyond the screening test, the company is considering expansion into AI-driven developmental screening tools and expert consultation support, which could connect families with therapists and specialists when needed.

Effort to Make Autism Screening Easier and Faster
Currently, Egnosis is an operational startup headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Registered as Egnosis Artificial Intelligence Private Limited, the company is working to expand its AI-based healthcare technology. Although still in its early stage, the venture reflects the growing movement of Indian startups leveraging Artificial Intelligence to address real-world healthcare challenges.

The story of Egnosis highlights the ambition of a new generation of founders who view technology not merely as a commercial opportunity but as a tool for social impact. By working to make autism screening easier and faster through Artificial Intelligence, Rakshit Jain and Divyansh Mangal are contributing towards a future where early detection becomes more accessible, helping families receive timely care and support during the most critical developmental years of a child’s life.
