Business Remedies / New Delhi (IANS)। American tech company Apple ने India की smartphone Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme के तहत एक बड़ी उपलब्धि हासिल की है। December 2025 तक India से Apple के iPhone का कुल export 50 billion dollar से अधिक हो गया है। यह जानकारी industry-related data में सामने आई है।
Apple की PLI scheme की कुल अवधि 5 years की है, जिसमें अभी 3 months शेष हैं। चालू financial year 2025–26 के पहले nine months में ही India से लगभग 16 billion dollar के iPhone export किए जा चुके हैं। इसके साथ ही PLI scheme के दौरान कुल iPhone exports 50 billion dollar के पार पहुंच गए हैं।
यदि comparison किया जाए तो South Korea की company Samsung ने financial year 2021 से 2025 के बीच PLI scheme के तहत लगभग 17 billion dollar के devices का ही export किया। इस तरह Apple का performance Samsung की तुलना में कहीं अधिक मजबूत रहा है।
India में Apple के कुल five iPhone assembly plants हैं। इनमें से three plants Tata Group की companies द्वारा संचालित किए जा रहे हैं, जबकि two plants Foxconn द्वारा operated हैं। इसके अलावा Apple से जुड़ी लगभग 45 companies की supply chain भी India में active है, जिनमें कई small and medium enterprises शामिल हैं।
iPhone की strong demand के चलते smartphone अब India का सबसे बड़ा export product बन गया है। Financial year 2025 में total smartphone exports में लगभग 75 percent share iPhone का रहा। Year 2015 में smartphone exports के मामले में India 167th position पर था, लेकिन अब India इससे कहीं ऊपर पहुंच चुका है।
India अब दुनिया का second-largest mobile phone manufacturing country बन गया है, जहां domestic market में बिकने वाले 99 percent से अधिक mobile phones अब India में ही manufactured हो रहे हैं। इससे स्पष्ट है कि India धीरे-धीरे high-value mobile manufacturing ecosystem की ओर आगे बढ़ रहा है।
Smartphone PLI scheme March 2026 में समाप्त होनी है, लेकिन government इसे आगे बढ़ाने के options पर विचार कर रही है। New rules के अनुसार, अब companies six years की अवधि में से किसी भी continuous five years के लिए incentive benefits का लाभ उठा सकती हैं। Apple के suppliers और Samsung को electronic component manufacturing scheme में भी शामिल किया गया है।
इसी क्रम में Samsung एक नया display module plant स्थापित करने जा रही है, जिससे लगभग 300 लोगों को employment मिलने की उम्मीद है।
Counterpoint Research की एक नई report के अनुसार, year 2025 के first 11 months में Apple ने लगभग 6.5 million iPhone 16 units की बिक्री की। इसके साथ ही iPhone 16 India का best-selling smartphone बन गया है। Research firm के data के अनुसार, इस अवधि में Apple ने Android smartphone manufacturers को पीछे छोड़ दिया। इसके अलावा iPhone 15 भी top 5 best-selling smartphones की list में शामिल हो गया है।
