Business Remedies | Shruti Kothari | June 15,2025 |“Kuch chahiye toh bata dena… paise hai na?”A sentence that sounds simple, but carries a lifetime of love, care, and quiet strength.

They may not say “I love you.” They probably never will. But they’ll make sure you share your location when you’re out, your bus reaches on time, your train PNR is tracked, and your flight is showing “landed.” They’ll bring home your favourite fruit without asking, quietly slip in extra money even when you insist you don’t need it (“Rakh le, kaam aa jaayega”), and call you ten times when you’re travelling, even though they say they’re just “checking the weather.” Indian fathers have their own love language, one made entirely of unspoken concern, daily sacrifices, and a constant eye on your well-being.

Their actions speak louder than words. And when words do come, they’re often disguised as humour, instructions, or concern.

This Father’s Day, we reached out to professionals from all walks of life and asked them to share a few heartfelt lines about the man who shaped their journey. The responses? Honest, emotional, full of warmth, and bursting with gratitude for the quiet strength we often take for granted. After all, long before we learned to lead teams, chase deadlines, or make a mark, we learned something far more important. We learnt how to believe in ourselves. And often, that belief began with him.

Here’s what these incredible individuals shared about the fathers who won’t say “I’m proud of you” out loud, but will casually tell the entire neighbourhood.

Amit Saini

Software Engineer, Jaipur

“An old-school hero with the spirit of Indiana Jones, my father began his journey in the Army and later took charge of blasting through hills as a mine manager. Our days were filled with football, kushti, and roaring through the dusty and hilly mine roads in his jeep. Every moment was an adventure. He was a man forged in discipline. Watching him lead taught me that being a man isn’t about loud declarations, but about grit, honour, and standing by your word — because for him, your word was your bond.

Tusharika Singh

PR Professional, Jaipur

“For me, my father has been my greatest support and my strongest pillar. From my childhood, he’s instilled in me a love for reading, for music, for writing — and for following my passions with confidence. I feel truly privileged that I get to be his work partner as well, even after I’m married. This Father’s Day, I’m filled with immense gratitude for him and for a life that lets me be by his side, learn from him, and grow together. Because honestly, no one looks out for a daughter quite like her father — and I’m so proud to be his.”

Siddharth Jain

Fellow Chartered Accountant, Kota

“It’s impossible to truly capture a father in words, but here’s my humble attempt. My father is a simple man who always gave us his everything, while keeping the bare minimum for himself. For my sister Ribha and me, he has been our greatest teacher, showing us the true value of honesty and simplicity, virtues that are often underrated in today’s world. He instilled in us the belief that happiness doesn’t come from money alone. It’s your efforts, your journey, and the life you live that should bring you true satisfaction. He is the reason we are who we are today. He is our strength, our guide, and someone we’ll always be in awe of.”

Shivam Mathur

IAM Architect, Booleans B.V., Breukelen, Netherlands

“Becoming a father has changed the way I see you, Papa. I now understand the weight of your silent sacrifices, the sleepless nights you never spoke of, and the strength behind every gentle word you said. It’s only now that I realise how deeply you led with love, even when you were tired, worried, or unsure. I’m grateful every day, but today, I want to say it out loud. Thank you, Papa, for being my quiet anchor and my lifelong guide.”

“My father, Shri Sudhanshu Kasliwal ji, a Senior Designated Lawyer and Philanthropist, has always been the silent strength behind everything I am today. He never just spoke lessons; he lived them. One lesson that has stayed with me forever is:“Do your work with honesty, and let your work speak louder than your voice.” Whether it was the kindness in his actions, his humility in success, or the quiet resilience during difficult times, he led by example. His life has shaped my values, my work ethic, and the way I live every single day.
Thank you, Papa, for being my first hero, my guiding light, and the soul behind all that I am and do.”

“Happy Father’s Day, Papa”
