New Delhi, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ने industry leaders, startups और investors से Assam growth story में partner बनने का आह्वान किया। उन्होंने कहा कि policy innovation, connectivity expansion और good governance का convergence Assam में long-term regional prosperity के लिए मजबूत foundation तैयार कर रहा है।
Sonowal ने कहा कि Assam की position India’s Act East Policy के तहत एक regional growth hub के रूप में उभरने के लिए uniquely strong है। उन्होंने entrepreneurs से state geography, connectivity और governance reforms का leverage लेने और Northeast में inclusive development को आगे बढ़ाने का आग्रह किया, जो Viksit Bharat vision को enable करेगा। Guwahati Dialogue के दूसरे edition में keynote address देते हुए minister ने कहा कि Assam लगभग 800 million people के market की जरूरतों को cater कर सकता है, जो Nepal से Myanmar तक फैला हुआ है। यह opportunity तब और मजबूत होती है जब India, Southeast Asia के साथ economic और logistical integration को deepen कर रहा है।
Sonowal ने कहा कि आज Assam एक unique geographical crossroads पर खड़ा है। Act East Policy framework और Prime Minister Narendra Modi के visionary leadership के साथ state regional growth के gateway के रूप में serve करने की capacity रखता है। उन्होंने entrepreneurs से इस opportunity को seize करने और Assam को regional development का entry point बनाने की अपील की। Minister ने यह भी कहा कि country के 76 years of Independence में पिछले 11 years एक defining phase रहे हैं। इस period में structural reforms, innovation और people-centric governance ने national development को नई दिशा दी है।
उन्होंने बताया कि innovative policies और effective implementation से पहले marginalised रहे cities जैसे Gangtok और Aizawl को connectivity मिली है, जिससे ease of living improve हुआ है और public trust build हुआ है। Sonowal ने Prime Minister Narendra Modi के Northeast के साथ sustained engagement को highlight किया। उन्होंने कहा कि PM Modi ने region में 70 से अधिक visits किए हैं, जिससे national integration और nation-building में shared responsibility की भावना मजबूत हुई है, जो ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ vision को reflect करती है।
Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways के mandate का जिक्र करते हुए minister ने कहा कि pollution-free inland waterways environmental sustainability और economic efficiency के लिए central हैं। उन्होंने जोर दिया कि waterways केवल transport corridors नहीं हैं, बल्कि एक way of life भी हैं।
