भारत के rice exports में पिछले वर्ष 19.4 प्रतिशत की significant बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई है। government द्वारा सभी export curbs हटाए जाने के बाद यह आंकड़ा record के दूसरे highest level पर पहुंच गया। official reports के अनुसार, इस decision ने Indian rice को global market में अधिक competitive बनाया और देश की position को world के largest exporter के रूप में और मजबूत किया। export restrictions हटने से Indian rice की international markets में steady supply बनी रही। इस situation के कारण Thailand और Vietnam जैसे rival producers के exports में कमी देखी गई। Asia region में rice prices लगभग एक decade के lowest level तक पहुंच गए, जिससे market dynamics में बड़ा बदलाव आया।
Low Prices से Poor Consumers को Relief
Asia में rice की increased availability ने prices को नीचे धकेला, जिसका direct फायदा poorer consumers को मिला। खासतौर पर Africa और अन्य importing regions में, जहां affordable rice supply पर भारी dependence है, वहां consumers ने राहत महसूस की। India अब केवल bulk exports तक सीमित नहीं रहा, बल्कि value-added और nutrition-oriented products की दिशा में भी कदम बढ़ा रहा है। इसी क्रम में Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) ने Chhattisgarh से Papua New Guinea के लिए 20 metric tonnes fortified rice के export को facilitate किया।
Fortified Rice: Nutrition और Technology का Combination
fortified rice को rice flour में iron, folic acid और vitamin B12 जैसे essential micronutrients मिलाकर तैयार किया जाता है। इस mixture को regular rice grains जैसा shape दिया जाता है और फिर ordinary rice के साथ mix किया जाता है, जिससे nutritional value में सुधार होता है। officials के अनुसार, ऐसे exports India की food fortification technology को highlight करते हैं और global food व nutritional security में देश के contribution को दर्शाते हैं। यह initiative overseas markets में India की credibility को भी मजबूत करता है।
Chhattisgarh की Growing Role
Chhattisgarh state लगातार farmers, millers और exporters को support करके India’s rice exports में important contributor बनकर उभरा है। Papua New Guinea को भेजी गई shipment ने nutrition-focused food supplies में राज्य की भूमिका को underline किया है। APEDA officials ने बताया कि authority quality assurance, capacity building और strong market linkages पर लगातार focus कर रही है। इसका उद्देश्य global agri-trade में India को safe, high-quality और value-added agricultural products का reliable supplier बनाना है।
