पिछले एक दशक में PRAGATI platform ने governance system को अधिक प्रभावी बनाया है और Rs 85 lakh crore से अधिक के projects को तेज़ी से आगे बढ़ाने में मदद की है। Prime Minister Narendra Modi ने कहा कि Centre और states के बीच बेहतर coordination के कारण लंबे समय से लंबित issues का समाधान संभव हुआ है। PRAGATI की 50वीं meeting की अध्यक्षता करते हुए Prime Minister Modi ने कहा कि 50 meetings का पूरा होना India की governance culture में एक बड़ा बदलाव दर्शाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि अब decisions समय पर लिए जाते हैं, accountability तय की जाती है और departments तथा states के बीच coordination को मजबूत किया जाता है।
Technology-Based Monitoring से बदली कार्यशैली
इस milestone meeting में यह बात सामने आई कि technology-based monitoring और regular follow-up ने governance के काम करने के तरीके को बदल दिया है। Prime Minister Modi ने कहा कि इस approach से ground level पर delivery में सुधार हुआ है और government action लोगों के daily lives में अधिक visible हुआ है। Meeting के दौरान Prime Minister ने roads, railways, power, water resources और coal से जुड़े five major infrastructure projects की review की। ये projects five states में फैले हुए हैं और इनमें Rs 40,000 crore से अधिक का investment शामिल है। Prime Minister ने timely execution सुनिश्चित करने और continuous monitoring के माध्यम से bottlenecks हटाने पर ज़ोर दिया।
PM SHRI Scheme पर विशेष ज़ोर
Prime Minister Modi ने PM SHRI scheme के implementation की भी समीक्षा की और कहा कि इसे modern और future-ready school education के लिए national benchmark बनाया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि focus केवल infrastructure creation पर नहीं बल्कि outcomes पर होना चाहिए। उन्होंने Chief Secretaries से scheme की close monitoring करने और यह सुनिश्चित करने को कहा कि PM SHRI schools अन्य state-run schools के लिए example बनें। साथ ही senior government officers को schools visit कर ground performance assess करने का सुझाव दिया। PRAGATI की origin को याद करते हुए Prime Minister Modi ने कहा कि यह idea Gujarat के Chief Minister रहते हुए शुरू किए गए SWAGAT platform से प्रेरित था, जिसका उद्देश्य public grievances को transparent और time-bound तरीके से address करना था। उन्होंने कहा कि PRAGATI के तहत sustained monitoring के कारण कई decades से अटके projects को unlock किया गया और उन्हें पूरा किया गया।
