Nirmala Sitharaman ने साफ किया: LIC के Investments पर Ministry का कोई Role नहीं

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ने Parliament में कहा कि Finance Ministry, LIC को उसके funds के investment से जुड़े किसी भी मामले में कोई advisory या direction जारी नहीं करती है.
Lok Sabha में लिखित जवाब देते हुए उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि LIC के investment decisions पूरी तरह LIC द्वारा independently लिए जाते हैं and ministry का इसमें कोई direct role नहीं होता.

Finance Minister ने बताया कि LIC के investment decisions strict due diligence, risk assessment और fiduciary compliance के तहत लिए जाते हैं and these are governed by provisions of the Insurance Act, 1938.
उन्होंने कहा कि LIC की investments Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI) और Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) के नियमों के अनुसार होती हैं.
LIC के investment functions की continuous monitoring concurrent auditors, statutory auditors, system auditors, Internal Financial Control (IFC) auditors और internal vigilance team द्वारा की जाती है and IRDAI समय-समय पर inspections भी करता है.
उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि government द्वारा LIC investments पर कोई direct oversight नहीं है.

📊 Where LIC Invests | LIC कहां करता है निवेश

Finance Minister ने बताया कि LIC मुख्य रूप से NSE और BSE की top 500 listed companies में invest करता है and majority investment large-cap companies में है.
As of September 30, 2025, LIC का Nifty 50 companies में investment का book value Rs 4,30,776.97 crore था, जो total equity investment का 45.85 per cent है.

उन्होंने Parliament में LIC की Adani Group में holdings का company-wise data भी प्रस्तुत किया, जिसमें total investment Rs 38,658.85 crore बताया गया, including newly acquired ACC Ltd and Ambuja Cements.
Private sector में LIC का सबसे बड़ा investment Reliance Industries में है, जिसकी value Rs 40,901.38 crore है, followed by Infosys Ltd at Rs 38,846.33 crore.
Other major investments include Tata Consultancy (Rs 31,926.89 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 31,664.69 crore) और Hindustan Unilever Ltd (Rs 30,133.49 crore).

Public sector companies में भी LIC ने भारी निवेश किया हुआ है and key names include SBI, Coal India Ltd, ONGC, Punjab National Bank और General Insurance Corporation of India.
