Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, the new Compass is set to redefine the compact SUV segment with its electrified offerings and enhanced features.

Design & dimensions
Drawing inspiration from the Grand Cherokee, the 2025 Compass showcases a sleeker, more minimalistic design. The front fascia features an illuminated seven-slot grille flanked by rectangular bi-LED projector headlamps, while the rear sports redesigned C-shaped LED tail lamps. The SUV has grown in size, now measuring 4,548mm in length with a 159mm longer wheelbase, resulting in an additional 55mm of legroom in both rows.

Powertrain options
The new Compass offers a range of powertrains to cater to diverse markets:
Mild-Hybrid: 1.2L engine producing 145PS.
Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV): 1.6L engine delivering 195PS.
All-Electric (EV): Available with 73kWh (500km range) and 97kWh (650km range) battery options.
4xe Variant: A high-performance AWD model with dual motors generating 375PS.
Notably, the electric variant will be the only model equipped with Jeep’s traditional four-wheel-drive system, while other versions, including hybrid and petrol, will be rear-wheel-drive only.

Interior & technology
Inside, the Compass boasts a tech-rich cabin featuring a 16-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, head-up display, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. Premium materials like aluminum and wood accents elevate the interior ambiance.

Safety & driver assistance
The SUV is equipped with advanced safety features, including Drowsy Driver Detection, Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Lane Management, Blind-spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Path detection. Additionally, it offers a semi-autonomous driving system and park assist for both parallel and perpendicular parking.

Production & availability
Production of the new Compass will commence in mid-2025 at Stellantis’ Melfi plant in southern Italy, with European deliveries starting in the fourth quarter of 2025. The SUV is expected to be introduced in other markets, including North America, by 2026.
