Minister ने कहा कि Prime Minister Narendra Modi की visionary leadership ने भारत की maritime capacity, skilled workforce, port connectivity और blue economy को तेजी से मजबूत किया है।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि Assam और Northeast इस national growth में एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहे हैं।

उन्नत निर्माण के लिए असम की संभावनाएँ
Sonowal के अनुसार, Assam में underwater repair और advanced manufacturing के लिए बहुत potential है, और IIT Guwahati का TIH इस future ecosystem का epicentre बन सकता है।
उन्होंने कहा कि underwater welding, offshore repair और 3D printing जैसी technologies एक तेज, reliable और cost-effective maritime repair network तैयार करने में essential हैं।

ड्राई डॉकिंग पर निर्भरता कम करने की दिशा
Minister ने बताया कि dry docking और imported components पर पारंपरिक निर्भरता cost बढ़ाती है और operations में delay लाती है।
IIT Guwahati में develop हो रही solutions self-reliance को मजबूत करने के practical alternatives देती हैं।

Sonowal ने पहले batch के 7 candidates को बधाई दी, जिन्होंने इस certification program को successfully पूरा किया और अब उनके पास globally applicable qualifications हैं।

युवाओं के रोजगार और maritime growth पर फोकस
Minister ने कहा कि सरकार innovation को बढ़ावा देने, maritime infrastructure को मजबूत करने और youth के लिए skilled employment बनाने के लिए committed है।
उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि IIT Guwahati और उसके partners की outcome-oriented proposals को ministry existing policy और financial frameworks के तहत positive response देगी।
