Trade को नई रफ्तार
India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) 15 July 2026 से लागू होगा। इसके साथ British products पर tariffs में कटौती शुरू होगी, जबकि Indian exporters को UK market में लगभग पूर्ण duty-free access मिलेगा। समझौते के तहत Scotch whisky, gin, chocolates, biscuits और cosmetics जैसे products पर import duty घटेगी। Scotch whisky पर tariff 150 प्रतिशत से घटकर पहले 75 प्रतिशत होगा और 10 वर्षों में 40 प्रतिशत तक आएगा। British automobiles पर quota-based mechanism से शुल्क कम किया जाएगा।
Indian exports को फायदा
Indian goods को UK में करीब 99 प्रतिशत tariff lines पर zero-duty access मिलेगा। इससे textiles, leather, footwear, marine products, gems and jewellery, sports goods और toys जैसे labour-intensive sectors को लाभ मिलने की उम्मीद है। Engineering goods, auto components और organic chemicals के exports को भी बेहतर market access मिलेगा।
CBIC ने तय किए नियम
Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) ने preferential tariff treatment के लिए Rules of Origin और compliance framework जारी किया है। Exporters और importers को साबित करना होगा कि goods समझौते की eligibility conditions पूरी करते हैं।
MSMEs के लिए अवसर
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal के अनुसार CETA trade, investment और innovation में सहयोग बढ़ाएगा। यह agreement MSMEs, startups, women entrepreneurs, farmers, fishermen और artisans के लिए UK के premium market में नए अवसर खोलेगा।
Professionals को राहत
Double Contributions Convention के तहत eligible Indian professionals को तय अवधि तक India और UK दोनों जगह social security contribution देने से राहत मिलेगी। CETA पर 24 July 2025 को 14 rounds की negotiations के बाद हस्ताक्षर हुए थे। India अगले दशक में 85 प्रतिशत tariff lines को duty-free करेगा, जिससे bilateral trade को गति मिलने की उम्मीद है।
