भारत-न्यूजीलैंड Free Trade Agreement से 100 प्रतिशत Indian exports पर zero duty

New Delhi में Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal ने कहा कि India और New Zealand के बीच हुआ Free Trade Agreement (FTA), India के 100 percent exports पर zero duty सुनिश्चित करेगा। इससे farmers, MSMEs, workers, artisans, women-led enterprises और youth को बड़ा लाभ मिलेगा। Textile, apparel, leather और footwear जैसे labour-intensive sectors को खास तौर पर फायदा मिलेगा।

Manufacturing और industrial sectors को फायदा

Minister ने बताया कि engineering, manufacturing, automobile, electronics, machinery, plastics, pharmaceuticals और chemicals जैसे key sectors को भी इस agreement से मजबूत support मिलेगा। यह FTA India के industrial growth को नई दिशा देगा। Piyush Goyal ने कहा कि यह agreement investment के लिए भी significant boost लाएगा। New Zealand ने अगले 15 वर्षों में India में $20 billion FDI facilitate करने की commitment दी है। इसका focus manufacturing, infrastructure, services, innovation और job creation पर रहेगा।

Leadership और bilateral relations में milestone

Minister ने X पर post में कहा कि Prime Minister Narendra Modi, New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon और counterpart Minister Todd McClay के leadership में सिर्फ नौ महीनों में यह landmark FTA conclude हुआ। यह India–New Zealand bilateral ties में एक बड़ा milestone है। FTA से Indian agricultural products जैसे fruits, vegetables, coffee, spices, cereals और processed food को New Zealand market में बेहतर access मिलेगा। Agricultural Productivity Partnership, Centres of Excellence और advanced agri-technology के जरिए productivity, quality और income बढ़ेगी। Honey, kiwifruit और apples जैसे horticulture products पर targeted initiatives sector को और मजबूत करेंगे।

Sensitive sectors को protection

Domestic sensitivities को ध्यान में रखते हुए India ने dairy, sugar, coffee, spices, edible oils, precious metals (gold और silver), metal scrap, copper cathodes और rubber-based products को safeguard किया है। इससे farmers, MSMEs और domestic industries को protection मिलेगा। FTA से services sector में IT, ITeS, finance, education, tourism, construction और अन्य areas में नए अवसर खुलेंगे। Health, traditional medicine, student mobility और post-study work पर New Zealand के first-ever annexes Indian professionals और students के लिए नई राह खोलेंगे।
Working holiday visa, post-study work pathway और 5,000 temporary employment visas से skilled Indian professionals को global opportunities मिलेंगी।

Viksit Bharat 2047 की दिशा में कदम

Goyal ने कहा कि यह mutually beneficial agreement India–New Zealand economic partnership को मजबूत करेगा और Viksit Bharat 2047 के vision को आगे बढ़ाएगा। FTA में New Zealand की ओर से India को अब तक का best market access offer मिला है, जिसमें 118 services sectors शामिल हैं। Skilled Indian professionals के लिए Temporary Employment Entry Visa pathway के तहत तीन साल तक stay की सुविधा होगी। इसमें Ayush practitioners, yoga instructors, chefs, music teachers और IT, healthcare, education जैसे high-demand sectors शामिल हैं।

Non-tariff barriers पर भी focus

Tariff liberalisation के साथ-साथ FTA में non-tariff barriers को address करने के लिए regulatory cooperation, transparency, streamlined customs और SPS measures शामिल किए गए हैं। इससे exports को effective और meaningful market access मिलेगा। New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon ने कहा कि India के साथ FTA से farmers, growers और businesses को फायदा होगा, exports बढ़ेंगे, jobs create होंगी और incomes में वृद्धि होगी।
