भारत सरकार ने कहा है कि GST reforms लद्दाख के artisans, farmers और tourism operators के लिए game changer साबित होंगे — ये कदम costs घटाएंगे, markets बढ़ाएंगे और स्थानीय crafts को सुरक्षा देंगे।
सरकार के अनुसार, GST rates में 12% से घटाकर 5% करने से authentic Pashmina wool, handwoven woollens, Thangka paintings, apricot और sea buckthorn products की competitiveness और affordability दोनों बढ़ेगी।
🌸 Major Benefits of GST Reforms in Ladakh:
🔹 Pashmina Wool:
Changthang region के 10,000 से अधिक nomadic herders को सीधा फायदा मिलेगा। Export बढ़ने से authentic Ladakhi pashmina imported या machine-made alternatives से ज्यादा competitive बनेगा।
🔹 Traditional Handicrafts:
Leh और Kargil के handwoven woollens और Namda rugs की production cost घटेगी, जिससे traditional crafts का revival संभव होगा।
🔹 Tourism & Hospitality:
Hotel tariffs ₹7,500 तक पर GST 12% से घटाकर 5% करने से travel और stay सस्ता होगा — खासकर tourist season में। इससे eco-tourism और local homestay economy को बड़ी मजबूती मिलेगी।
🔹 Thangka Paintings & Carpentry:
Leh, Alchi, और Hemis monasteries की traditional Thangka paintings अब price-competitive होंगी। ये Buddhist scroll artworks meditation और decoration दोनों में इस्तेमाल किए जाते हैं।
🔹 Apricot Farmers:
लगभग 6,000 farming families को फायदा — dried apricots, jams, oils जैसे value-added products की marketability बढ़ेगी।
Ladakh देश का सबसे बड़ा apricot producer है, जिसमें Kargil, Leh और Nubra Valley मुख्य केंद्र हैं।
🔹 Women-led SHGs & Organic Products:
Sea buckthorn products, yak cheese, Leh berry health drinks, और organic farm produce जैसी items, जिन्हें मुख्यतः महिला self-help groups बनाती हैं, अब अधिक market-accessible और profitable होंगी।
“GST reforms लद्दाख की traditional economy को modern markets से जोड़ते हैं — ये कदम आत्मनिर्भर और sustainable Ladakh की दिशा में बड़ा परिवर्तन है,” सरकारी बयान में कहा गया।
