GST Reforms से Jammu & Kashmir की Economy में Boost: Handicrafts, Tourism और GI-tag Products की चमक

Jammu & Kashmir की economy को significant boost मिल रहा है, thanks to recent GST reforms. Official documents के अनुसार, handicrafts, agriculture, tourism और local specialties के लिए GST rate को 5% तक कम करने से competitiveness बढ़ रही है, cost कम हो रही है और markets का विस्तार हो रहा है।

• Handicrafts & Artisans:
  GST reforms से कारीगरों और artisans की livelihood मजबूत हो रही है, exports बढ़ रहे हैं और employment opportunities बढ़ रही हैं। GI-tag products जैसे Pashmina Shawls, Dogra Paneer और Basohli Paintings अब domestic और global markets में better compete कर सकते हैं।

• Employment & Women Empowerment:
  Handloom और handicraft sector में 3.5 lakh से अधिक लोग काम कर रहे हैं, जिसमें करीब 45% महिलाएं शामिल हैं। कश्मीर की Kanihama में लगभग 5,000 बुनकर premium Pashmina Shawls बनाते हैं। GST rate cut (12% से 5%) के कारण ये shawls अधिक affordable हो गए हैं, जिससे demand और export बढ़ रही है।

  Kathua जिले में बने GI-tag Basohli Paintings में लगभग 500 local artists कार्यरत हैं। GST सुधार के साथ ये paintings अधिक affordable और marketable हो जाएंगी, जिससे artisans की livelihood secure होगी।

• Agriculture & Nuts:
  Anantnag, Kupwara, Kulgam और Badgam में walnuts की cultivation सालाना 120 करोड़ रुपये का व्यापार generate करती है और करीब 10,000 लोगों को रोजगार देती है। GST 5% करने से कश्मीरी walnuts domestic और international markets में competitive बन गए हैं।

  Jammu & Kashmir भारत के बादाम production में 91% से अधिक हिस्सा रखता है। यह sector लगभग 5,500 लोगों को livelihood प्रदान करता है। GST reforms से Kashmiri almond packaging industry को भी significant advantage मिलेगा।

• Tourism:
  Jammu के famous temples से लेकर Kashmir valley की lakes और orchards तक, region की natural beauty इसे top global tourism destination बनाती है। 2023 में tourist arrivals 2.1 crore थे, जो 2024 में 2.3 crore तक पहुंच गए। Tourism sector 70,000 से अधिक jobs support करता है और state GDP में 15% का योगदान देता है।

  GST reforms के बाद hotel tariffs और tourism packages (₹7,500 तक stay) पहले से ज्यादा affordable होंगे, occupancy बढ़ेगा और local businesses को revenue boost मिलेगा।

• Local Specialties – Dogra Paneer:
  Udhampur जिले में बने GI-tag Dogra Paneer को GST सुधार से लाभ होगा। Local dairy producers और small-scale cheese makers अब lower production cost और better profit margins के साथ domestic और export markets में compete कर सकते हैं।
