Ratan Tata का जन्म और leadership journey
December 28, 1937 को Mumbai में जन्मे Ratan Tata ने 1991 से 2012 तक Tata Group का leadership संभाला और फिर 2017 तक briefly responsibility निभाई। उनके guidance में Tata Group एक global institution के रूप में emerge हुआ।October 9, 2024 को उनका निधन हुआ। Ratan Tata केवल एक business leader नहीं थे, बल्कि ethical leadership का एक powerful symbol भी थे। Piyush Goyal ने X post में कहा, “उनकी Jayanti पर मैं Shri Ratan Tata ji को deep admiration और respect के साथ याद करता हूं। उनकी leadership ने innovation और compassion को seamlessly blend किया और national development में Indian enterprise की role को redefine किया।” उन्होंने आगे कहा कि जिन institutions को Ratan Tata ने nurture किया और जिन values को उन्होंने champion किया, वे आज भी generations को direction दे रही हैं। Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia ने कहा कि leadership का अर्थ केवल charge में होना नहीं है, बल्कि उन लोगों का care करना है जिनकी responsibility आप पर है।

Tata Trusts ने कहा कि Ratan Tata के guidance में philanthropy charity से आगे बढ़कर एक strategic और results-driven approach में transform हुई। इस approach का focus healthcare, education, livelihood, women-empowerment और long-term transformation पर रहा, जिससे community resilience मजबूत हुई। Tata Trusts ने X post में कहा कि Ratan Tata की vision ने यह समझा कि meaningful progress के लिए केवल socio-economic gaps को address करना पर्याप्त नहीं है, बल्कि innovation, supportive technology और local needs की deep understanding के साथ collaboration जरूरी है।
Business expansion और landmark decisions
Ratan Tata की leadership में Tata Group ने telecom और automobiles जैसे new sectors में entry की। उन्होंने India की first indigenous car Tata Indica launch की और बाद में Nano को introduce किया, जो world की most affordable car बनी। उन्होंने Ginger hotel chain की शुरुआत की और 60 से अधिक global acquisitions को oversee किया, जिनमें Jaguar Land Rover और Tetley Tea जैसे iconic brands शामिल हैं। उनके tenure का एक landmark decision Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) को public करना रहा, जिससे यह India की most valuable company बनी। Corporate world से बाहर भी Ratan Tata का influence remarkable रहा। Year 2008 में उन्हें Padma Vibhushan से award किया गया। उन्होंने अपने जीवन का बड़ा हिस्सा philanthropy और nation-building के लिए dedicate किया।
